It was a weather forecast too good to turn down so arrangements were made to go out. Ian managed to book the day off I was very kindly allowed out by the wife who had already made plans for the same day. Im sure this is going to cost me big time soon.
So the three of us launched around 9.15 into a very flat sea again and headed out to a mark to see if there were any sign of this years bream.
Not much there just dogs and a pouting so we went west to try some new spots to fish.

we had a few small Pollock more dogs and a grey gurnard
and an amputee crab
we then moved onto the knoll where we were soon joined by around half a dozen more boats. The fishing was quite slow with more dogs and a handful of dabs and a whiting. It was time for bacon and sausage rolls for dinner then we had a move into the bay to see if there were any mackerel around. We soon had plenty so headed out to the point to fish and we had a few bigger Pollock there along with some more dabs.
We headed east to try another mark where Ian had a nice huss of 11.5 lb, Stead had a nice bream of 2.5 lb followed by similar size bream for Ian, I had a bream on and lost it. It summed up the day I was having I had plenty of small stuff but nothing nice.

we headed back to Port Talbot and had a stop on the cabenda wreck but it turned into a longer stop than we planned as I managed to get the anchor stuck on the wreckage. It shows there is a fair bit down there. Don't laugh at the circles on the plotter that was us trying to break free doh!
we couldn't have asked for a nicer day it was ok with 10 species caught hoping for some tope next time out
