9/7/15
A rare break in the weather with light enough winds to go out saw myself Ian and Stead launch at 9.45.
It was an awkward tide time of 12.45 which meant we would only have a short trip so with no time to waste we changed our plan of having a few drifts looking for bass to looking for some mackerel to try for tope instead. We headed to the swig buoy and on the first drop Ian had 3 but that was it no more were caught. Ian had suggested another mark to try and bingo we were getting full rigs of mackerel and tiny scad.

We had enough bait so headed to a mark to try for bream and tope.
The fishing was pretty good from the start with stead finding plenty of different species including huss dabs gurnard.

The bream started to show but lee was having some issues with his snoods snapping and dropping a couple of good fish must have been dodgy line nothing to do with the knots!
When the tide had turned and was against the wind it had got very lumpy but it was ok just lol but when the boat had beaten the wind and fully turned we were stern on into the swell so we had no choice but to move so we then headed back to port. with a few species dogs, smooth hound, mackerel, scad grey gurnard, red gurnard, tub gurnard, dab, bream. There were no tope caught but it was a good days fishing given the short time we were out.
