I haven't put up a report for a while had a change of boat and the last couple of trips were rubbish. The forecast wasn't ideal for Thursday quite windy and a lot of rain they said but it turned out to be lovely all day, its nice when they get it wrong that way. Myself and Ian launched around 10 am into a flat sea and headed out to Langland to see what we could find. We didn't get much there a few dogs and tub gurnard and that was it there so we moved out to deep water. The fishing was ok with a few gurnard and a lone mackerel and more dogs until the tide got too much to hold bottom so we decided we would have a bit of a species hunt and head over to oxwich. was ok there with plenty of dabs quite small tho a few thornbacks and tub and grey gurnard.
We moved across the bay to try for mackerel there were plenty around a decent size too including a pb lol
we also had a few small Pollock to boost the species count and a nice bream
It was getting late in the day so we headed into Swansea bay to fish a wreck there to see what we could find but there were just loads of small pouting on offer
that was it for the day we managed 10 species and really enjoyed ourselves it was a beautiful day to be out we fed the gulls our left overs then headed back in
